Well it sure has been quiet around here on the old EO board. A lot of interesting things have recently transpired for me and I wanted to share them with the members of the EO board. On the 25th of November, I won the grand prize at the Foreigner's singing contest. I got some money and a video camera and a trophy and a citation from Choo Don Shik, the minister of culture and sports for the Republic of Korea. Most of all, I had a really great time and met many foreigners who also have a strong love and interest in Korea! The show will be broadcast on January 2nd, on KBS. Because of winning the contest, I apperared on the KBS program, "Entertainment Tonight." Also, I had a small role as a teacher on SBS' "LA Arriang," which aired last wednesday. All and all, it has been a very fun and interesting time the last couple of weeks. In my country, we have a saying that everyone gets his or her 15 minutes of fame sometime in thier life, I guess I got about and hour and a half! Well, after January 2nd, my 15 minutes will be up, but it sure was fun! I miss hearing from all of you, many people are busy with jobs and final exams,I didn't do so great on my Korean writing test at the Korean Language Institute(KLI) at Yonsei University(Boy, the Korean Language sure is difficult for me!). I want to wish everyone on the EO board a very Merry Christmas and a great New Year! May we all be a little more tolerant with each other next year. I'd like to take this chance to say I'm sorry for anything I wrote that upset anyone. I think I learned a lot about life by reading the many talented postings from the very interesting people that post messages on the EO Board.
