First, let me clear this point that I am a male. ok ?
[Being a female in Korea]
[Tolerate all the visible, invisible segregations.
Try to be modest to all the people 'cause I have to have good reputation.
But also try to be cold to all the people 'cause I mustn't have some kind of
dirty scandals.
Try to be in shape and should be born in a good family to have some high
value in the marriage market.
Should put up with all the things which I can never do.
Always have to be regarded as a good wife and good mother, sometimes I have
to ponder the raison d'etre of mine, thinking it seems that I am here only to
give birth to the sons.
Sometimes I have to kill my babies in their fetuses all because of they are
daughters, thinking that maybe it's good for them not to be born in this
distorted society.
Should be conservative and passive in everything, following what my husband
does. ]
Being a female in Korea...
Who made this kind of [goddamn] social structure ?
A structure in which a very very young girl was gang-raped repeatedly by some
members of villagers.
A structure in which those rapers boldly claims that [she was a whore.] or
[she was some kind of bitch.] openly.
We all did.
The [goddamn] social system of son-is-the-best policy almost ruined this
fragile, Confucianism-following society.
A country of the morning calm ??? A country with good manners in the east ?
Let us rename this nicks.
A country with abortion murders. A country for rapers without remorse.
Don't make your choices by the social trends,
but by your conscience, by your own good-will.
Mourn the death of [A brilliant candle in the east.]
The long habit of living indisposeth us for dying.
