Sorry, but I just am in the mood for Korean Poetry right now!
I promise this is the last one for awhile....
THE WINTER CHRYSANTHEMUM
Near the back gate to the compound
of the Eighth United States Army
with "OFF LIMITS" hung on the barbed wire,
children are sitting around,
warming their bodies at a brush fire.
Their shrunken puds shiver
like dark red boxthorn fruit.
For a lavish wedding
a pot of chrysanthemum sells
for three hundred won.
