there are a lot of succesful koreans in US... you just don't know them.. :( english is very important to be succeful in US society. but the US socieity is evolved in such a way that invidual talent and skill factors more than the command of english. om my experience, it is not the korean language that factors into the isolation of "some" koreans in US. it has more to do with korean culture, which tends to penalize americanized koreans. also it is really rare somone will dispise you and isolate you because you speak poor english. many of young korean students (highschool), who are not good at english, are top of the class. that actually brings respect !!!
